Data & Privacy

We give a shit about your privacy.

We respect your personal information and ensure it is handled securely. We will never sell or share your data with third parties. Period. We will use your data to provide you with a personalised music discovery experience.

What we collect

Account information

Your email address, display name, and profile preferences. Used solely to provide and personalise your experience. You may optionally sign in via Google or Discord, in which case we receive only the information needed to authenticate you.

Music preferences

The artists you save, the ratings you give, and the albums you collect help us understand your taste. Your musical identity should represent you. We take that seriously.

Technical data

We use analytics to understand broad usage patterns and improve the service. No individual IP addresses are stored.

How we use your data

We use your data to deliver personalised recommendations, maintain and secure your account, and improve the quality of the service. That is it. We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or anything beyond making synff work well for you.

Your data protection

We will never share individual user data with third parties.

The state of data harvesting and you being the product is a large part of why we created synff. Your personal information, music preferences, and activity data remain private and are used exclusively to enhance your experience.

Your rights

Access & control

You can access, update, or delete your profile information at any time through your account settings.

Data portability

You can request a copy of your data or ask us to delete your account and associated information at any time.
